4 years of entrepreneurial adventure
In June 2021, we launched Nordlys with a clear desire: to give meaning back to furniture. To create durable furniture, designed to last and to be lived in, not just to fill space.
Four years later, we are proud to look back and measure the progress made — a human, collective adventure always guided by your habits, your interiors and your lives.

Our story has its roots in a family passion. Anne-Sophie, co-founder of Nordlys, comes from a line of cabinetmakers and antique dealers.
She grew up surrounded by wood and carefully crafted objects, and the idea that every piece of furniture deserves to have a story. By partnering with two decoration enthusiasts, she gave birth to Nordlys, which rejects standardized and overproduced furniture.

4 years of responsible furniture
Since our beginnings, we have taken decisive steps.
After the creation of Nordlys in June 2021We launched our online store a few months later. The first sales in November marked a turning point: our furniture left our workshops to join your homes, and a loyal community began to form.
In 2022, we joined the Maisons du Monde marketplace. In 2023, we launched our first outdoor range — a collection designed to transform gardens, balconies and terraces into true living spaces. And in the same year, we collaborated with La Redoute!
In 2024, a new milestone was reached with the launch of our children's range.
And in 2025, we'll go even further: establishment in the United States and moving into our new offices in Marseille.
Nordlys now has a presence in 15 countries, across 3 continents, and a website translated into 5 languages.

Scandinavian style is both minimalist and warm. It favors bright spaces, well-thought-out storage and formal simplicity, while incorporating natural materials and soft textures.

The year 2024 marked a new stage for Nordlys with the launch of our children's rangeWe designed these pieces of furniture with the same concern for quality, safety and durability as for our other collections, but with special attention to awakening, play and softness.

From the outset, we opted for a model of pre-orderSlower, but more respectful. This choice implies producing only what is necessary, avoiding unsold goods and limiting our carbon footprint.
Of course, this sometimes means waiting a little longer before receiving your furniture. But it allows us to avoid waste, remain agile, and offer you a Furniture that reflects your values.
We work exclusively with sustainable materials: FSC-certified wood , OEKO-TEX fabrics solvent-free adhesives.
Every step of the manufacturing process is closely monitored. We only collaborate with certified workshops that share our social and environmental commitments. And every piece undergoes strict quality control, from prototype to shipment.
Giving our furniture a second life
At Nordlys, we strongly believe in the circular economy. When a piece of furniture is returned with a slight defect or an unsold item remains in stock, we choose to donate it. Thanks to our partnership with Emmaus These pieces of furniture are repaired, refurbished, and find a place in a new home.
