Living better in less space is the whole spirit of our new collection : smart ideas, careful aesthetics and, above all, the multifunction furniture and modular furniture as a common thread to optimize each square meter. Our promise is simple: small spaces, more ideas. Rather than accumulating, we choose versatile and modular pieces that adapt to the real uses of your daily life.
In this new collection, the multifunction furniture becomes a gesture of design and common sense: a table that hides storage, an armchair that accommodates a tablet and a pouf, bench which becomes a chest, a headboard which organizes the room. Far from compromise, this collection boasts beauty and practicality: clean lines, warm materials, light silhouettes that let the space breathe.
The objective: to circulate light, free up the floor, store better without cluttering, gain comfort and space on a daily basis. With Nordlys, the multifunctional and modular furniture are not an option; it's the simple way to gain space, style and serenity.
1) Why is multifunctional furniture the number one ally for small spaces?
In a compact interior, every choice counts; this is where the multifunction furniture makes all the difference. Rather than adding, he combines functions : tidy up, receive, work, relax.
The multifunctional piece of furniture frees the floor and optimizes the angles
It offers more storage which makes it clearer to read the room. A set of nesting tables with storage becomes a tray for an aperitif, then a reading corner; a chest bench brings together throws, games, books and transforms into an extra seat ; an extendable table welcomes guests without colonizing everyday life.
Multifunctional furniture structures life
We tidy up faster, we move less things, we keep a clear head. It is also a sustainable investment: a well-designed piece replaces several purchases, follows life changes and limits waste.
The multifunctional piece of furniture visually lightens the space
By replacing several pieces of furniture with a multifunctional piece of furniture, you free up the floor, clear the walls and allow light to circulate better. We apply these principles piece by piece: living room, office, entry, dining room, room. The strength of the concept? Make your home breathe, and you too.
2) Multifunction furniture: the art of combining design and practicality
The living room is the beating heart of the collection multifunction furniture : we meet there, we sometimes work, we often entertain. Here, the multifunction furniture must be discreet, beautiful and permanently useful. KARLSTAD combines side table and hidden storage: a clear volume, sober lines, a hidden space which swallows remote controls, magazines, chargers.
HALMSTAD uses usage intelligence: armchair + tablet integrated into the backrest + ottoman assorted; a single set for reading, placing a computer, extending the legs, providing an additional seat.
VARDE, our modular sofa, follows your life scenarios: entertaining in style, creating an intimate TV corner, opening up the space to play with the children. If you want to add modules following a move or redevelopment — this is for it.
This trio illustrates the bias Nordlys : a warm design, clever details, real versatility. We gain space without sacrificing any style, and above all we gain in comfort of use: less back and forth, more evidence on a daily basis.
The multifunction furniture is here the driving force behind a clear aesthetic: we do not hide the function, we sublimate it. Result: a visually relaxing living room, where each object has its place. This is the DNA of this new collection: small spaces, more ideas, and pieces that play not one role, but several.
3) The living room that transforms with the rhythm of the day
To go further, we focus on sets that move with you. ARVIKA associates wooden coffee table + 2 integrated poufs : you gain two seats without taking up space, perfect for last minute guests, and the whole thing can be put back together in the blink of an eye.
SANTIAGO, the end of sofa pouf with storage, becomes a footrest, an extra stool, a discreet box for cables and throws.
TRINIDAD check the box side table + storage : practical for teleworking, ideal for placing a lamp, a cup, a book.
Other flagship products in the range multifunction furniture, the set YATOMI (2 round wooden coffee tables + storage) and TROMSO (2 nesting tables in wood and marble effect) offer modular solutions: we separate, we assemble, we store according to use.
In the evening, everything finds its place; during the day, everything changes. We save time, we keep a clean living room, we live better thanks to multifunction furniture.
The most? You don't add objects; you optimize the ones you have, and you gain valuable freedom of use.
4) The compact but complete office
The work area deserves a separate chapter: it must be ergonomic, clear and ultra-efficient.
The ultra practical multifunction furniture on the office side, it is first SETO, our corner desk in two finishes — wood and rattan — which takes advantage of angles to the millimeter and frees up space in the center of the room.
TOYAMA, in wood and cane or in ash wood (2 doors), offers sufficient surface area for a laptop, with integrated storage for documents and accessories.
HOUSTON in metal & wood has a simpler style, but its size is ideal for creating a workstation that fits anywhere. The chair STACY, adjustable, provides the ergonomics necessary for long sessions. We store in the cabinet, we work on a clean surface, we benefit from reduced space requirements.
The challenge is not to “go small”, but to do just right thanks to the multifunctional piece of furniture: clear lines, fluid circulation space, better-thought-out storage. You gain an organized workstation, without losing space.
5) Entrance, first impression, first optimization thanks to the multifunction unit
The entrance concentrates a thousand micro-uses: we place, we put away, we grab on the fly. This is the ideal territory for multifunction furniture.
CHIBA, wooden bench with storage, allows a simple and logical gesture that everyone does when returning home: sitting down to put on their shoes, opening to put away. It takes up little space and fits easily with a coat rack attached above.
On the same principle, KUBO is even more compact for tight spaces. It can be used as shoe storage thanks to its two shelves. Its wooden and beige velvet chest offers additional space and serves as an entrance bench.
Another idea: CANNON or KONDO, the wall coat racks, make it possible to free up the ground and clarify the facade. You enter, you put your things away directly thanks to the multifunction furniture. It reduces visual noise and avoids mess nests.
Result: a clean, welcoming entrance that sets the tone for the rest of the house.
6) The multifunctional piece of furniture in the dining room: between everyday life and large table
Usability shouldn't depend on the size of your room. With a table designed like multifunction furniture, we live comfortably every day and we entertain in style when necessary.
The ideal piece of furniture? CORTE, the extendable dining table for 6 to 8 people. It grows in one gesture to welcome friends and family.
For more storage, choose HAVANA : available in a 6-person version for a warm meal, or in a 4-person model in solid pine for smaller spaces. Its round shape facilitates circulation.
Another star of multifunctional furniture: PIREUS, the table oval for 6 people which hides two cupboards in the pillars of its structure — two shelves per pillar to store your dishes.
In this collection, the dining room serves several roles: quick meals, teleworking, homework, aperitifs. The key: a surface versatile and volumes that do not weigh down the room.
Thanks to the multifunction furniture : we unfold, we fold, we chain together the uses. The main thing: a simple, fluid experience that makes you want to get together.
7) The bedroom and multifunctional furniture: comfort, storage, softness
The bedroom should soothe, organize and reassure because it is there that we recharge our batteries. The multifunction furniture it takes the form of box seats, ottomans, storage and integrated elements.
The ultimate multifunctional piece of furniture? All benches Nordlys, with a crush on the new features:
- The bench with storage VANERN, the new addition to the range! All in white terry, it seduces with its textured style and its original braiding.
- CUZCO, the chest bench with storage. Bed linen, cushions and seasonal accessories can be stored there without any difficulty.
- UPPSALA, bench with storage in white loops, and UMEA, pouf with backrest and storage, provide comfort thanks to the softness of their curls.
Another clever option: headboard ESLOV with storage organizes books, glasses, chargers; it even replaces the bedside table — a multifunction furniture par excellence, which avoids redundant parts.
Our advice for the bedroom: a bedroom that breathes, that can be stored in a single gesture, that welcomes light. We save time in the morning, we find ourselves easily in the evening, we benefit from a soothed aesthetic.
Comfort is seen, but above all it is experienced: it is the alliance Nordlys between real use and design, without compromise.
8) Multifunction furniture, an evolving choice
Choose one multifunction furniture, is investing in a sustainable logic : a well-designed room replaces several purchases, follows the developments of the house, limits waste. Modularity responds to the natural changes in life (teleworking, the arrival of a child, moving, a studio that becomes a two-room apartment) without calling everything into question.
It is also a responsible approach: fewer objects, better chosen, longer useful.
The multifunction furniture also lends itself to changes in scenography: we simply reorganize a room by putting together a nesting set, sliding a storage bench under a window, deploying an extendable table for a dinner.
Finally, there is a dimension of well-being: a less cluttered interior calms the mind, facilitates order, makes routines more fluid. The collection is not a passing trend, it’s a healthy lifestyle: better, less, longer.
Conclusion — Small spaces, more ideas thanks to multifunctional furniture
This collection proves that you can gain in style, comfort and freedom, even when square meters are limited.
By focusing on the multifunction furniture you create a house that adapts to you, not the other way around. Small spaces, more ideas : fewer objects, more functions; less congestion, more traffic; less effort, more life.
This is the whole point of the new collection Nordlys : pieces designed to last, combine, evolve. Ready to accompany you for a long time.
